Community Acupuncture by Artemisia at YogaSix Pasadena
Experience affordable, relaxing community acupuncture in Pasadena—perfect for stress relief, sleep support, headaches, neck/shoulder tension, menstrual cramps, overall recovery and so much more. In this small-group setting, a licensed acupuncturist treats each person in a quiet, shared room using gentle points on the ears, hands, forearms, feet, calves, and scalp (no need to undress).
How it works
Brief 1:1 intake to tailor your treatment (all guests should be sure to complete our consent forms before their appointments to ensure your appointment starts on time).
Bolsters, yoga mats, cushions and covers are used to ensure you are comfortable.
Tiny, sterile, single-use needles placed where you can stay clothed and comfortable.
Optional eye covers with aromatherapy are available and will be offered to you.
Rest for 30 minutes while your nervous system shifts into “rest and restore", the parasympathetic state where deep healing begins.
Simply lift your free arm if you need assistance, anytime.
Leave feeling calmer, lighter, clearer and closer to your goals—benefits build with a few sessions.
Privacy in a group setting
We keep the space quiet but with carefully chosen music to inspire deep relaxation, low-light, and phone-free. Conversations are minimal, though there will be time for any questions and concerns. Light blankets/eye covers are available; you’ll have personal space with respectful distancing.
What to wear
Come in loose sleeves and pants that roll above elbows and knees. Eat a light snack an hour beforehand and bring water. You can pair acupuncture before or after yoga class—just avoid arriving overheated or on an empty stomach.
What to expect after
It’s common to feel deeply relaxed. Plan a gentle rest of your day, hydrate, and notice shifts in sleep, mood, and tension over the next 24–48 hours. You're welcome to continue with activities you are used to, just go slow and be mindful of your body, always employing proper posture. Consistency helps—many people attend weekly or bi-weekly.
Is it safe?
Yes—treatments are provided by licensed acupuncturists following clean needle technique and yoga-studio safety standards. If you’re pregnant, on blood thinners, or have a medical condition, let us know so we can adapt your points.
Your Initial Consultation is free.
